How do I add my name to a tee sheet?
Sign in to the Golf Genius Portal and select Tee Time Sign Up. Find the round you want to schedule. If there are open positions for the round, press the Select link to choose a tee time.
How do I change or cancel my tee time?
You may change your tee time while the round is still open (up until 6 pm two days before the game is played). Find the round just as you did when you signed up and select Change Tee Time. Your name will be highlighted. Press the Select link to choose a different tee time.
To cancel a tee time while the tee sheet is still open, follow the same directions and instead of selecting Change Tee Time, select Cancel Registration. WARNING: After you select Cancel Registration, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to cancel. You have the choice of two buttons - Confirm or Cancel. If you click Cancel, it will cancel your cancellation. Make sure to click Confirm for your cancellation to go through.
What if the tee sheet is closed?
If you want to cancel a tee time, change a time, or add your name to a tee sheet that has been closed, contact Anne (annehigg@gmail.com) or Patti (patti.mccormick@me.com). They will notify the Pro Shop managers of any changes.
Should you encounter an unexpected & last minute conflict that prevents you from playing and the round may have already started, please call the Pro Shop at (619) 235-1184.
Please remove yourself from the tee sheets as soon as you learn that you will not be playing.
I just noticed that a couple of late tee times disappeared. What happened?
Our agreement with the City requires us to release any unneeded tee times eight days prior to the date of the round. At 7 pm on Tuesday night, we consolidate the tee sheet to the fewest possible tee times and release what we don't need to the course which are then offered to the general public. Those tee times that disappeared likely were the ones we released.
How will I know when a new tee sheet is open for sign-ups?
A new tee sheet will open on Thursday night at 7 pm for the round to be played exactly four weeks later. Also, the Calendar for the year is under Home on this portal and it has the date that each tee sheet will open for sign-up and for those rounds that are open, it will indicate when the round closes.
When will the tee sheet close?
The tee sheet will close at 6 pm Tuesday night before we play on Thursday. Do not confuse the date that the tee sheets close with the date that we will compact the tee sheet. If you wait to book until after the tee sheet is compacted, there may be no tee times available, so try to book soon after the tee sheets open.
How can I add a guest?
Under the Tee Time Sign Up, select a round and press the button for Register a New Guest. You will need to enter the guest's first and last name and select the box to confirm you are authorized to do this. Then select Register Guest. Each guest is allowed 2 rounds with our club each year, after which they will be required to join if they wish to play with the Club. Guests pay the appropriate Balboa course fee and must have a resident card to receive the resident rate for play. Please email Linda Bienhoff at lbienhoff@cox.net prior to your guest playing.
